The best streaming services enable you to stream all the great content that isn’t available on cable (on services that aim to replace cable). However, these services are currently in a state of flux. Our favorite iTunes Store USA offers a wide range of our favorite shows and movies that can always be purchased without any unfair restrictions or geo-blocking.
These services are just one part of the streaming equation. As cable boxes gradually become obsolete, they are being replaced by smart TVs and the best streaming devices, including Roku and Chromecast. By testing the best streaming services and devices side-by-side, we determine the best way to build the ultimate streaming setup with the best selection of content and live channels.
1. iTunes Store / Apple TV
Reasons to Buy:
A vast collection of beloved content exclusively available in the USA.
Top-tier movies and shows.
The option to purchase shows without a subscription-based model.
No ads or video ads.
A family-friendly content library.
Available on Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and Android TV.
Watch shows and movies in different countries.
No geo-crackdown or VPN crackdown compared to Netflix.
Movies support 4K and HD resolutions, while TV shows support HD and SD resolutions.
Reasons to Avoid:
The Canadian Store’s content phases out more frequently.
The selection on the Canadian Store is significantly limited compared to the USA Store.
Some TV and movie tiers are expensive, depending on the TV networks and countries (This is happening in the Canadian Store).
2. Disney+
Reasons to Buy:

Great original content that caters to a wide range of interests.
A family-friendly selection that ensures content suitable for all ages.
UHD resolution options for a high-quality viewing experience.
Movies support 4K and HD resolutions, while TV shows support HD and SD resolutions.

Reasons to Avoid:
Too expensive on selected plans
Some gaps in the content lineup.
Annoying ads if you choose ad plans.
High subscription fees.
A subscription-based model is required to watch all Disney+ original shows and movies.
There is currently no native app for macOS.
Many Disney+ original contents are not available on digital stores like iTunes, Google Play, and other digital platforms.
Disney+ is cracking down on **** sharing.
3. Netflix
Reasons to Buy:
A vast collection of beloved content exclusively available in the USA.
An excellent selection of movies and TV shows.
An optimized interface for easy navigation.
A family-friendly content library.
Available on multiple platforms, including Microsoft Windows, iOS, iPadOS, and Apple TV.
Movies support 4K and HD resolutions, while TV shows support HD and SD resolutions.
Reasons to Avoid:
The subscription cost is high for 4K and HD content.
Titles frequently change or are removed from the platform.
Some of the most popular shows and movies are exclusive to Netflix.
The Canadian version has very limited content.
There is no native app for macOS at the moment.
A subscription is required to watch all Netflix original shows and movies.
All Netflix original content is not available on digital stores like iTunes, Google Play, and other digital stores, and requires a subscription.
Netflix is cracking down on **** sharing and VPN usage.
There are annoying ads if you choose the ad-supported plan.
I strongly advise against subscribing to the streaming services mentioned above, even if your preferred content is exclusively available on one of them. Instead, I highly recommend purchasing your favorite movies and tv shows on the iTunes Store.
