The best streaming services enable you to stream all the great content that isn’t available on cable (on services that aim to replace cable). However, these services are currently in a state of flux. Our favorite iTunes Store USA offers a wide range of our favorite shows and movies that can always be purchased without any unfair restrictions or geo-blocking.

These services are just one part of the streaming equation. As cable boxes gradually become obsolete, they are being replaced by smart TVs and the best streaming devices, including Roku and Chromecast. By testing the best streaming services and devices side-by-side, we determine the best way to build the ultimate streaming setup with the best selection of content and live channels.

1. iTunes Store / Apple TV

• The Canadian version has very limited content.
• There is no native app for macOS at the moment.
